Terms for entry
Thank you for your interest in entering the Resene New Zealand Institute of Landscape Architecture Awards 2026.
By submitting an entry to the Resene NZILA Awards, entrants agree to the following:
Eligibility
- Entries must meet the eligibility requirements for the selected category.
- At least one entrant must be an eligible NZILA member where required.
Authorship and Permissions
Entrants confirm that:
- the client or project owner has approved the entry
- all contributors are accurately acknowledged
- submitted materials may be used by NZILA for awards promotion and publication
the entrant’s scope of services is clearly described where multiple parties have contributed to a project
NZILA may request clarification or supporting information where required.
Accuracy of Information
Entrants confirm that information provided is accurate and truthful to the best of their knowledge.
Judging
- Judges’ decisions are final.
- NZILA reserves the right not to award a category where entries do not meet the required standard.
Site Visits
- Site visits may apply to shortlisted Design Stream projects.
- Planning Stream categories are assessed on submitted material only.
Publication and Promotion
NZILA may publish submitted material for awards-related promotion, media, and archival purposes.
Withdrawal or Disqualification
NZILA reserves the right to withdraw or disqualify entries where:
- permissions are not properly obtained
- authorship or scope is misrepresented
- entry requirements are not met.
One Complimentary Award Entry
The first entry submitted by a company will be accepted with no entry fee, provided that:
- the entry meets all Awards criteria as outlined in the Call for Entries
- the company employs at least one NZILA financial member in one of the following categories: Life, Registered, or Graduate
This offer does not apply to:
- entries in the Student Award category
- companies whose only NZILA members are Affiliate members, as Affiliate members are not eligible to enter the Awards programme.
Subsequent Award Entries
The money raised through entry fees is used to pay for travel costs for the judges, printing costs and overall administration of the judging process. Additional funds raised through sponsorship help offset the cost of the Awards Gala dinner.
Subsequent award entries:
Entry fees for additional submissions help cover judging travel, administration, and delivery of the Awards programme. Sponsorship support contributes toward the Awards Gala Dinner.
Entry fees are:
- Tier Two Award categories: $484 (incl. GST)
- Student Award: $126 (incl. GST)
- Enduring Landscape Award: No charge
Payment of Entry Fees
Invoices will be issued after entries close. Payment is due on receipt of invoice.
