The Environment Committee has today reported back on the Planning Bill and Natural Environment Bill, marking the completion of the Select Committee stage of the Government's resource management reforms.

The reports, along with the recommended amendments, are now publicly available and will inform the next stages of the Bills as they progress through Parliament.

The New Zealand Institute of Landscape Architects Tuia Pito Ora will now take time to review the Committee's recommendations and consider what they mean for the landscape architecture profession and the future planning system.

Ngā mihi to everyone who contributed their expertise to NZILA's submission and to members who engaged throughout the process. Your insights helped inform our advocacy on behalf of the profession.

We'll share further commentary and analysis with members once we've had the opportunity to review the reports in detail.
