Registrations are now open for the Firth NZILA Wānanga 2026 and the Resene NZILA Awards Gala Dinner, taking place in Ōtautahi Christchurch on 5 and 6 November.

This year's wānanga is grounded in the kaupapa Ka Rū Ka Hā, Awaken the Energy, bringing the profession together to explore how landscape architects can lead, respond and create in a time of continual change.

Across two days, we'll gather for thought-provoking presentations, practical case studies, workshops, discussion and shared learning, alongside opportunities to reconnect with colleagues from across Aotearoa.

The response to our Calls for Contributions has been outstanding.

We've received an incredible range of speaker, project and workshop proposals from practitioners, researchers, communities and collaborators throughout Aotearoa and beyond. Thank you to everyone who took the time to submit an expression of interest.

We're working through those submissions to shape a programme that reflects the breadth of our profession and the ambition of this year's kaupapa. We'll be in touch with everyone over the coming weeks as we confirm speakers, sessions and availability.
