It's been a busy 30 days for the new team.
Recently appointed Chief Operating Officer, Angela Hunter, is happy to announce that her new team is fully in place. The most recent addition, Events Manager Trina Edwards is officially 'at her desk', as of Monday 24 July.
For members, this means that all key service positions are now operational. As a brief summary, the new individuals are:
Angela Hunter: Chief Operating Officer (based in Whakatū Nelson) email: info@nzila.co.nz
Trinity Beardmore: Administration Manager (based in Puhoi - Auckland Region) email: admin@nzila.co.nz
Trina Edwards: Events Manager (based in Ōtautahi Christchurch) email: events@nzila.co.nz
Lori Keller-Coughtrey: Operations & Engagement (Media) Lead (based in Aparima Southland) email: media@nzila.co.nz
As a fully remote team, all members are new to the landscape architecture profession and the learning curve will be a part of doing business for the foreseeable future. Despite this, several areas of significant opportunity have already been identified, and Ange and her team are excited about the next phase of growth at NZILA.
Trina has provided a short bio (below) and is keen to hear from members with ideas about NZILA events.

Kia ora!
I’m very excited to be joining the team as Events Manager for Tuia Pito Ora. I’ve been in the events and marketing space for 12 years, a large proportion of which has been running events for industry associations and not-for-profits. Most recently I was at Tourism Industry Aotearoa managing TRENZ 2023, Aotearoa New Zealand’s most significant business-to-business tourism event. I had also previously been in TIA’s TRENZ team pre-COVID, with a break in between at Ministry for the Environment in the Brand and Experience team.
My joy comes from bringing people together for a common purpose or experience; I believe events can be transformative and that nothing beats gathering in person. I am based in Ōtautahi Christchurch, the place I grew up, returning here two years ago after spending time living in New York, Los Angeles, Wellington, London, and Wellington again. I spend most of my time with my two-year-old American Staffy, we love to go for walks and have 'chill time' at our dog-friendly local pub.
I’m always interested to know what people want from their industry events, and as this sector is new to me I’m keen to learn and understand what’s what, so please reach out with ideas of what you want to see. I’m particularly interested in ways we can innovate and operate more sustainably, leaving our host regions better than we found them, so reach out if you want to chat or even partner with us! events@nzila.co.nz
