A new initiative begins tonight at the NZILA President’s Cocktail evening.
The first ever President’s Awards will be presented at the event in Tauranga which precedes the 2021 NZILA Firth Conference.
Incoming NZILA President, Henry Crothers, says the awards offer an opportunity for the Institute to celebrate some of the heroes and unsung heroes of the profession.
“The people that are making a real commitment to supporting what we do as an institute and as a profession.”
The President’s Awards can be given to both NZILA members and non-members, individuals and groups/organisations.
Recipients are those who have gone above and beyond and who have engaged with a wide range of issues or who have worked diligently to provide benefits to and for the greater good of the profession.
The NZILA says the awards provide the opportunity to also recognise clients, other design disciplines and organisations which contribute to the development and promotion of Landscape Architecture.
We will bring you the list of award winners tomorrow.
