Congratulations to this years award winners
NZILA Wellington Branch Chair Nicole Thompson attended the Victoria University Prizegiving on Thursday 5th April 2018 and presented the following awards:
NZILA/Dr Diane Menzies Award for design excellence in a final year student
Matt McKone
NZILA Award of Excellence for best student in the second to last year
Hannah Carson
NZILA Award of Excellence for best student in the third to last year
Jessie Wrigglesworth
About the Dr Diane Menzies Supreme Award:
Diane Menzies ONZM, the namesake of this award is an NZILA Life Member. Dr Menzies was honoured with Life Membership of the Institute in 2005 in recognition of her outstanding contribution to the development of the Institute and that of the landscape architecture profession. Dr Menzies was also awarded an Officer of the Order for services to the environment in the 2008 New Zealand Queen’s Birthday Honours List.
