Architect / Landscape Architect

Suzanne Turley Landscapes is looking for an Architect or Landscape Architect to join our Auckland studio. We work on high-end residential landscapes across New Zealand, collaborating closely with architects, consultants and contractors from concept through to construction.
This is a long-term role, not a short-term fill. You'll take on increasing ownership across design development, documentation, coordination and site delivery as you settle in.
The role
- Develop and refine landscape design concepts
- Prepare coordinated design development and construction documentation
- Produce technical drawings, details and 3D models
- Work through levels, structures, pools, drainage, hardscape and material interfaces
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, suppliers and contractors
- Respond to site queries and help resolve construction issues
About you
- Background in architecture or landscape architecture, with 5-10 years' post-qualification experience, and NZ work rights
- Strong design judgement, with an interest in high-end residential work - Fast, efficient AutoCAD, SketchUp and Enscape skills, with a keyboard-driven workflow (studio is Mac-based)
- Sound technical detailing and documentation skills
- Practical understanding of materials, buildability and site delivery
- Organised, reliable, and comfortable managing several projects at once
Experience with complex residential projects, planting design, or contractor coordination is an advantage.
