Landscape Architect (Fixed Term)

We are seeking an early-career Landscape Architect to join our Auckland team on a fixed term basis (up to 12 months) to cover a period of parental leave. The role would ideally commence in June 2026.
About the role
You will work alongside our team of experienced landscape architects and multi-disciplinary project teams, supporting a wide range of projects across Aotearoa. The role offers the opportunity to be involved in projects across the design process, from concept design through to documentation and site observation, supporting the delivery of outcomes that are thoughtful, practical and grounded in place. You will provide production support, design support and input, and undertake site observation activities, helping translate ideas into clear, compelling and well-resolved project outcomes.
About You
You are a motivated and capable landscape architect who enjoys working collaboratively and is energised by creating high-quality design outcomes.
You will ideally have 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role and can demonstrate:
- A bachelor’s degree (Hons) or master’s degree in landscape architecture
- Strong graphic skills and experience using a range of digital tools and techniques, including Adobe Creative Cloud, AutoCAD and SketchUp, as well as hand drawing. Rhino and REVIT skills are particularly advantageous.
- Experience working across the design process, from concept design through to construction documentation and site implementation / observation.
- A strong eye for detail, composition and visual communication
- The ability to communicate your ideas and design thinking in a clear, thoughtful and engaging way.
- A proactive approach to managing your work and meeting deadlines.
- A willingness to take initiative, contribute ideas, ask questions, and seek guidance when needed.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Membership of the NZ Institute of Landscape Architects.
- A current full driver’s license.
