Join Terrence Stapleton who will be reflecting on his journey from student to Studio Leader at TCL (Taylor Cullity Lethlean) Sydney. He will walk through the formative steps of his career, early project experiences, and the key moments that have shaped his approach to design and leadership.
Terrence will share insights from projects that have defined his trajectory, from large-scale infrastructure such as Melbourne's North East Link, to sensitive stream restoration work in Sydney's national parks, and time spent living and working in the Northern Territory.
The talk will explore how each opportunity, whether large or small, contributed to building his skills, confidence, and design voice. He will offer an honest perspective on professional practice in landscape architecture, from learning to effectively communicate big ideas, Designing with Country and balancing creativity with complex project demands.
His talk will reflect on the realities of working within the creative industries and the value of persistence and curiosity.
