SoLA Seminar Series: Ōtākaro Avon Loop

Senior Landscape Architect Fraser Millar from Rough Milne and Mitchell (RMM) led the transformative regeneration of Christhurch's Avon Loop, turning earthquake damaged roadway into a vibrant pedestrian and cycle corridor linking the Avon River promenade with the City2Seas pathway.
The revitalised loop now reveals rich Ngāi Tahu and European histories while restoring the river's slumped banks through extensive indigenous planting and enhanced habitats.
