Sam Spinks

Sam Spinks is an award-winning landscape architect with extensive experience across culturally and historically significant landscapes, public open spaces, hospitality and mixed-use developments.

Originally from Aotearoa New Zealand, Sam built his early career in Sydney, where he worked as a senior landscape architect within one of the city’s leading heritage landscape design studios. He later relocated to the Middle East, bringing that grounding in heritage, culture and place into a wide range of major projects across the region, including World Heritage and internationally recognised sites.

Sam’s approach combines landscape architecture with a background in horticulture, with a particular interest in creating thoughtful, site-responsive landscapes that balance cultural context, history and contemporary use. He holds a Bachelor of Design in Landscape Architecture from Victoria University of Wellington and a Bachelor of Applied Science from Massey University.
