The Tāmaki Makaurau Branch Committee is excited to have a date locked in for Friday the 25th of September for a joint NZILA Central North Island and Auckland Branch CPD field tour to Rangiriri Paa - one of Aotearoa's most significant historic and cultural landscapes, renowned for its role in the invasion of Waikato and the New Zealand Wars.
The visit will be an opportunity to gain a deep understanding of the site's history and cultural significance, and to explore the recently developed replica battle landscape, along with the nearby Waikato Expressway and interpretation works that many landscape architects have been involved with over the years.
More details will follow soon. Numbers will be limited, so keep an eye out for the formal invitation and RSVP details in the coming weeks.
We will provide transport via bus for Tāmaki Makaurau Branch members, details on pickup location to follow with invite.
