Planning is well underway for our 2026 events programme in Ōtautahi Christchurch, and we’re pleased to share some key updates so you can lock dates into your calendar and start planning ahead.

Firth NZILA Wānanga: 5-6 November, Majestic on Durham
Resene NZILA Awards: 5 November, One NZ Stadium at Te Kaha
We’re looking forward to bringing members together in Ōtautahi for connection, learning, celebration, and professional kōrero.

 
Theme Development

A big thank you to everyone who contributed ideas and feedback at the end of last year. Your whakaaro, alongside our strategic pillars and Board direction, has helped shape where we’re heading.

We’re currently developing a conference theme that speaks to leadership, climate, and advocacy, grounded in our shared kaupapa and the role landscape architects play in shaping Aotearoa’s future.

Call for Projects – Ōtautahi and Beyond

We’re seeking projects to feature as part of the wānanga programme.

We’re especially looking to Christchurch members and those working in the region to help us showcase the breadth of work happening locally. This is an opportunity to open your projects to colleagues, share lessons learned, and contribute to the wider conversation.
