Experienced Landscape Architect

Bespoke are seeking a talented and motivated landscape architect who is at a Senior level or an Intermediate who aspires to reach this role. As a senior member of our team, you will play an integral role in taking responsibility for running and coordinating projects, establishing and fostering client relationships, managing and mentoring junior staff, and aiding in overall business development. Purposefully developed as a boutique practice, we have strived to create a design studio that is sought out for our ability to consistently deliver unique and creative design solutions, that achieve enduring built outcomes. The range of projects in our office includes prominent urban spaces, large scale parks and reserves, walkways and cycleways, custom-designed playgrounds, high profile commercial developments and significant public infrastructure works. We are engaged at all levels and stages of project delivery from initial master planning and analysis, right through to detailed design and contract administration.

In your role as a senior landscape architect, you will have the opportunity to work across a broad range of project typologies and actively contribute to managing all stages of project delivery.

  • Tertiary qualification in landscape architecture
  • A minimum of 3 years applied professional experience in landscape architecture practice and the ability to clearly articulate this
  • Current NZILA registered status or a keenness to work towards this
  • A personal drive to progress professionally
  • A desire to strive for the best possible project outcomes
  • A positive and enthusiastic approach
  • Strong interpersonal skills to liaise confidently with clients and other consultants
  • Strengths in the design, development, and resolution of high-quality conceptual responses
  • Attention to detail and delivery of quality documents and design communication
  • Competent and articulate written and verbal communication skills
  • A high degree of competence in the use of AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite and MS Office Suite
  • Confidence in 3D modelling (Sketch Up, Lumion, Revit) would be advantageous
  • Proficiency in hand-drawn graphics
  • Experience with the preparation of detailed design documentation and construction observation/project management
  • The ability to work in an open, collaborative studio environment both autonomously and as an intrinsic member of our team
  • Competent project management skills with the ability to manage competing deadlines and project demands
  • Current New Zealand residence status or appropriate working visa status
  • A current NZ drivers license
  • A passion for landscape architecture
